They are not as hard as most jerkies (100% single ingredient treats) – but that isn’t the major point for a quick eating treat.

How to Use Beef Sticks
- Training Rewards – Break into bite-sized pieces.
- Daily Snack – 1–2 sticks for small dogs, 2–4 for medium to large dogs. To keep your dog at its ideal weight, the best way is to reduce the amount of ‘dog food’ by the weight of dog treats you feed them. This is only advised when the treat has a similar meat content as ‘dog food’. Note while 100% single ingredient jerkies can replace up to 40% by weight ‘dog food’ a few times a week, Any composite treat, containing high meat content, should probably be restricted to more like 20% maximum on alternate days.
The 10% rule you might hear so much about is an arbitrary value floated by dog food companies, or treat companies that are selling low meat content treats.
