SHIPPING METHODS

Bruce’s Healthy Dog Treats was created to provide people interested in their pet(s) health and happiness with quality treats are low prices. We supply 100% REAL MEAT treats cheaply for your dog (or cat).

In keeping with this mission, we have made postage as simple and cheap as possible by further discounting our courier prices. If you have an exceptional large order (including wholesale and international), please contact us by phone or email to discuss other delivery options.  We can always provide cheap spot courier prices.

We use several shipping methods. If you select the AusPost shipping option in the Shopping Cart, the site will return the current AusPost postage fee. The values shown below for Auspost are as of Oct 2022. We have designed the shop to return several postage values (different couriers) we always recommend that you select the lowest postage fee. If we use another courier method your postage fee will not increase.

NOTE – If an orders volume is larger in volume or weight than a 5 Kg AusPost satchel,  we are likely to use another courier to keep your postage costs reasonable.  There are many couriers with cheap spot rates that we can provide for the larger orders.

Couriers do not deliver to AusPost PO Boxes so we will need a residential or commercial address for courier shipments otherwise we reserve the option to provide a full refund, or you can pay the extra AusPost postage costs. 

VIRTUAL WEIGHT AND POSTAGE COSTS

Please note that all dog treats postage values are calculated on a ‘Virtual Weight’ basis. That is, dense treats will cost less to send as they are more likely to fit into a 3 kg satchel. Extremely light and less dense treats like Beef or lamb cubes are likely to have a much higher virtual weight than their nominal weight. For instance the beef cubes are typically TWO times that of their actual weight (they take up two times the space) – and so they have to be sent in larger bags.

This is why some auto postage calculated costs can be higher than expected for some treats.  You might have selected treats that weight only 2 to 3 Kg, but if they cant fit in the 3 Kg satchels because, the postage calculation might be for a 5 kg bag or higher.

Your final shipping charges are displayed in your Shopping Cart page. Prices are in Australian Dollars. (Note – we also look forward to inquires from international customers). Healthy Dog Treats will email you when your order has been sent. We always send tracking numbers to you after your order has been packed.

Postage costs are calculated on ‘virtual weight’ of each treat (the volume including protective packaging) that a treat takes up. See explanation below.

GREATER MELBOURNE SHIPPING

·         Under 3kg SATCHEL = $4.95  (Note our courier,  Aramex have an online calculator to confirm if your suburb is within their Greater Melbourne Delivery area). Use To = Melbourne. Weight = (under 3 Kg). Dimensions = 10x20x20 and see if a result for SATCHEL “Sat-Loc-A3”  is given.

·         3 – 20 Kg = Maximum of $15 approx. (current AusPost value, 2022).  Please note Auspost has recently updated (increased) its postage across every possible configuration. This means that Melbourne is now mostly as expensive to send parcels to as anywhere in Australia (even though we are Melbourne based) ! Please note, if you have a large order we will use the most economical source of courier that gets your treats to you safely …

(all weights are ‘virtual weights’ and take into consideration the order volume)

METRO AUSTRALIA (NON-MELBOURNE)

·         Under 3 Kg = $9.95

·         3-5 Kg = $13.95

·         5-10 Kg =  Maximum of $27.95  (we cap it at this rate, even though it can be substantially more for us to send).

·         > 10 Kg     Please contact us, we will provide you with the cheapest day courier rate.

REGIONAL AUSTRALIA

·         Under 3 Kg = $9.95

·         3-5 Kg = $14.95

DELIVERY TIMES

Please note we recommend allowing 2 to 10 working days (ie excluding weekends) to receive your order from the moment you order. Typically most customers get their order within 5 working days when they are near a capital city on the eastern states, however once we send a satchel we both rely on the speed and skill of the couriers which we have little direct control over.

If you have an emergency treat situation and want to pay more money for an express delivery, we can assist you … our aim is to get you quality treats, affordably as fast as possible …
